Zaquoy is our hero

Zaquoy is an exceptional 13 year old young man who was diagnosed with an extreme case of neurofibromatosis.  He has undergone multiple surgeries to maintain his health and faces more in the future.

Zaquoy has residual effects from the surgeries and experienced some teasing from his peers in school, however, he was resilient. Zaquoy was awarded the McKay Scholarship which led to an opportunity to relocate to a private school, where he is now thriving.

Zaquoy attends multiple specialty appointments with an inquisitive mind; asking questions and learning what he can do for himself to stay healthy.  Despite occasional setbacks, Zaquoy remains positive and appreciative.

Zaquoy is a CDTC Hero of the Month because of his outstanding character, politeness and likable personality! These are qualities that will make him a great success!
