Nick is a 24 year old young man who is a true success story! He began his care at CDTC at age 8 and participated in an innovative global study through our Research Program because he wanted to help others. Nick’s desire to help others has not changed; today, he continues to show compassion, empathy and desire to learn more about the disease that affected him at birth.
He is working full time and was quickly promoted to a managerial role and is re-enrolling in college this fall after taking a break so his girlfriend, Maria, could go to college full time to become a nurse. Nick is pursuing a degree in Communications and hopes to work at a marketing firm after graduation. Nick and Maria have been together for 8 years after meeting at Camp Hope and are a stellar example of what can be accomplished if you are committed to improving yourself physically, mentally and socially!
Nick said, “Participating in research studies allows me the opportunity to provide others with a brighter future.”
