Join us for the 28th Annual Thanksgiving Basket Brigade

Sunday, November 22, 2020 at 8:00 am

With your help we will provide more than 1,300 families in need with a Thanksgiving meal.

Volunteers can register to either just bag meals or to both bag and deliver.



8:00am – Volunteer Sign-in
9:00am – Assembly Line Begins
9:45am – Delivery Begins

Students Service Hours

Students can earn service hours by checking in at the “Student Registration” table beginning at 8:00am the day of the event. You will receive a form with a staff signature that verifies your hours and participation.

Just a small donation of $25 can feed a family of four this Thanksgiving!*

*Funds received over and above the budget of the Thanksgiving Basket Brigade will be contributed to CDTC’s general fund at the close of the event. General funds support our medical and dental clinics as well as case management and emergency services for children and families with special needs.

We’re kicking off our Annual Holiday Toy Drive at the Basket Brigade.

Shop for new, unwrapped toys for children ages birth to 16 and bring your donation with you to the event!

CDTC is honored to once again be a beneficiary of The SMART Ride. The CDTC Cyclones & CDTC Swarm will be making the two day, 165 mile journey from Miami to Key West for the 9th consecutive year!

Supporting The SMART Ride Helps CDTC Provide:

  • Testing & medication for uninsured patients
  • Assistance with funds for medical costs, specialist and services not covered by insurance
  • Transportation to and from appointments
  • Camps & retreats for children and mothers to boost both confidence and health
  • Support groups & emergency assistance to those living with HIV

With your help we can assist patients to live undetectable, reduce transmission of HIV, prevent transmission from mothers to newborns and find the cure for HIV!

Like many things that change us and the world in some way, it starts with a dream, a vision, and an idea. The SMART Ride (Southern Most AIDS/HIV Ride) is no different. It was born out of a dream to make a real and significant difference in the lives of those infected, affected and at risk for HIV/AIDS.

The ride became a reality in November of 2003 with less than 100 riders and about 100 crew raising $169,000. Thirteen years later, over $8.5 million has been distributed throughout Florida, making SMART Ride the 2nd largest AIDS bicycle ride in the country and the only one of its size to give back 100%. 6th Annual Waterway Soiree Yacht Hop & Dinner

What is the Waterway Soiree?

The Waterway Soirée  is a chic yet casual dockside event, hosting up to 10 luxury yachts.

Guests step aboard these stunning yachts to enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres, an open bar and a private meal catered by some of Fort Lauderdale’s finest chefs. 

The funds we raise together help provide primary medical and dental care as well as social services to almost 12,000 children with special health care needs and their families.


  • The Waterway Soirée will host a minimum of 10 private yachts, each over 90’ in length.
  • Dock  – Yachts will be docked along the Bahia Mar Marina “D & E Docks”  where complimentary hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served.
  • Dine & Dessert –  Yacht hop guests will enjoy a private, catered dinner aboard their assigned yacht.

Help a child with special needs get ready for a great school year!

CDTC’s Annual Back to School Drive kicks off in July. We need your help filling backpacks for more than 800 boys and girls!

You can help by starting a collection at work, school or any small businesses you frequentOr simply purchase a few supplies at one of the awesome sales and drop them off.

2. Download a flier here.

3. Set up a collection box in a common area or plan a time and place for everyone to bring their items.

4. Schedule a time to deliver your collection to the center and celebrate your good work!
