Today, Blessin is a happy and healthy five year old girl, but she had a difficult and frightening start to life. Blessin was born premature and weighed just three pounds. Her mother underwent an emergency C-section and she was born with water in her brain.
She spent the first month of her life in Broward Health Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit being fed through a tube. Blessin has been coming to CDTC for primary care since she was discharged from the hospital.
Her mother is so grateful for all the medical care coordination and treatment she received and that her “miracle” baby is thriving.
