Jorge F. Hernandez is the Vice President of Supply Chain Services and Chief Procurement Officer for Broward Health, one of the 10 largest public healthcare systems in the nation. Jorge has over 20 years of leadership experience in both for-profit and non-profit hospital and Corporate Supply Chain roles, including oversight of strategic sourcing, operations, systems, analytics, and organizational engagement across the spectrum of healthcare settings. Being responsible for a wide variety of functions, Jorge assists healthcare corporations control and reduce supply costs while improving operating efficiencies.
Prior to joining Broward Health, Jorge served as the Associate Vice President and Senior Director of Supply Chain Services at Tenet Healthcare. He was responsible for Supply Chain Operations for Tenet’s Eastern Region – Coastal Division hospitals in Massachusetts, Alabama, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Florida.
Other Supply Chain experience and positions held by Jorge include: Vice President of Field Operations at MedAssets and Director of Supply Chain at Larkin Community Hospital, Mount Sinai Medical Center, HCA/South Dade Service Center, and Miami Heart Institute.
