The SMART Ride | TBA

The SMART Ride | TBA

Due to Hurricane Irma Recovery Efforts in the Keys the SMART Ride has been postponed until early 2018.

We are so honored to once again be a beneficiary of The SMART Ride. The CDTC Cyclones will be making the two day, 165 mile journey from Miami to Key West for the 6th consecutive year!

Like many things that change us and the world in some way, it starts with a dream, a vision, and an idea. The SMART Ride (Southern Most AIDS/HIV Ride) is no different. It was born out of a dream to make a real and significant difference in the lives of those infected, affected and at risk for HIV/AIDS.

The ride became a reality in November of 2003 with less than 100 riders and about 100 crew raising $169,000. Thirteen years later, over $8.5 million has been distributed throughout Florida, making SMART Ride the 2nd largest AIDS bicycle ride in the country and the only one of its size to give back 100%. 3rd Annual Waterway Soiree Yacht Hop & Dessert Cruise

Saturday, May 20, 2017 |  Yacht Hop 5:00pm | Dessert Cruise 8:30pm

Bahia Mar Marina | 801 Seabreeze Blvd, Fort Lauderdale

What is the Waterway Soiree?

The Waterway Soirée is a unique and memorable event, best described as a high-end yacht hop and dinner followed by a waterway cruise. The event brings local celebrity guests, boating enthusiasts, and members of the marine industry together with the local community. This chic, yet casual affair is an exciting alternative to traditional fundraising events. Guests will step aboard stunning yachts, enjoy hors d’oeuvres, open bar, and dinner from local hot-spots.

Following dinner, all will gather for a festive cruise on the intracoastal, where guests will enjoy dessert, dancing, and live entertainment under the stars!

Bahia Mar Marina and CDTC invite you to a special evening with local celebrity guests, yachting enthusiasts, the Board of Directors at CDTC, and a Host Committee of community leaders. The event will generate new friends and funds for Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center (CDTC). As one of Broward County’s largest children’s agencies, it provides an array of services, including medical care to more than 11,000 infants, children, youth, and families with special healthcare needs each year.

WHAT’S INVOLVED?

  • The Waterway Soirée will host a minimum of 10 private yachts, each over 90’ in length.
  • Yacht Hop – Yachts will be docked along the Bahia Mar Marina “D & E Docks”  where complimentary hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served.
  • Dine – Yacht hop guests will enjoy a private, catered dinner aboard their assigned yacht.
  • Waterway Cruise – Following dinner, all guests convene aboard a luxury passenger yacht. This festive cruise is the perfect culmination to a fabulous evening. Guests will enjoy live entertainment, drinks, dancing, and delicious desserts while cruising along the Intracoastal Waterway.
